The 95th Anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele was remembered at the National War Memorial.

Eve Bain, a Passchendaele Society Youth Ambassador, attended the Battle of Passchendaele commemoration service in Wellington where she laid a wreath for the Passchendaele Society. She and Steph Tresgrove who has been involved with the RSA speech competition, represented the youth of New Zealand.

The Wellington service was attended by Chester Burrows, Minister for Courts; Chris Hipkins, MP for Rimutaka; the Canadian and British Ambassadors; the Charge d’affaires from the German Embassy and an Honorary Counsel for Belgium, as well as representatives from our Defence Force.

Eve reports that the service was very moving, and the choir singing “In Flanders Field” particularly so.
