Helen Pollock
‘Mapping Between the Memory and the Silence’ is a new installation from sculptor Helen Pollock. Helen is a Passchendaele Society member and creator of ‘Falls the Shadow‘, which is now on permanent display at the Passchendalele Memorial Museum in Belgium. The installation is part of a Cultural Mapping Project exhibition at the Depot Artspace, Clarence Street Devonport.
“I have assembled components, maps and writing relating to the mapping process involved in creating ‘Falls the Shadow’ with some of the work that didn’t go to Passchendaele itself, and samples of the clay used (From Coromandel and the battlefield of Passchendaele). Because it includes many of the elements, it evokes ‘Falls the Shadow’”
The exhibition is open daily until Aug 30th.
